Oral Medicine Specialist
We are proud to introduce Dr Michelle Kang who has joined the team at OMS Specialists. Dr Michelle Kang is a registered Oral Medicine Specialist working in private and public practice in Sydney and Newcastle. The Newcastle and Hunter Valley region can now for the first time readily access local Oral Medicine specialist care.
Her clinical interests include managing oral manifestations of systemic diseases, conditions affecting the salivary glands, oral mucosal diseases, temporomandibular (TMJ) joint dysfunction and orofacial pain.

We now have a new website and email address that will be much easier to remember. Don’t worry, the other websites and email will continue function as normal. All phone numbers remain unchanged.

IV Sedation
We now offer treatment under IV sedation on a regular basis. IV sedation provides a comfortable and calm experience for patients, whether they are highly anxious or unsuitable for extraction under local anaesthetic only. Patients who require extractions, implants or any other minor oral surgery can generally be suitable for IV sedation. See the IV Sedation tab for further information.
Online Referral System
We have updated our online referral system to help our referrers easily refer our patients. New referral pads and business cards can easily be requested via the website as well. See the Referrals page for further details.
Online Patient Registration
All patients can now register their details via the website, thereby decreasing administrative time and need to arrive early to fill in their registration forms. See the Patient Questionnaire page for further details.
Telehealth Appointments
We now offer Telehealth appointments to allow easier and quicker access for patients. These appointments will be particularly useful for anyone who needs to travel a significant distance to see us, anyone who has difficulties in transport or anyone who may not be able to take time off to come and see us. Not all conditions can be assessed via Telehealth. Please contact us if you are interested in a Telehealth appointment.
